Jamiacan Fam Trip- June 5th

hello,Arrived safe and sound in Jamaica. Flights were good, fast connections, and all flights on time. Landed in Montego Bay around 130pm. Were met at the airport by our Jamaica Tourism Board rep, Claudia. Went through customs, got our baggage, and boarded our mini tour bus. Drove to Negril where we checked into the Couples Swept Away. The resort is gorgeous, but mainly targeted for couples. Very romantic resort. Once finding out our room mate and checking into our rooms, we had some free time to wander the resort. The resort is basically in 2 sections, the new section and the old section. Note for clients - not all the rooms at the resort have tvs and minibars...so must request a room in the new section if wanting a tv and minibar in the room. Rooms are very spacious and modern. All rooms have a Ipod radio docking system. The resort offers all water sports complimentary.....scuba diving, parasailing, glass bottom boats, catamaran cruises, etc. The resort is set on the 7 mile beach, so there is plenty of room to relax on the beach or do water sports. WiFi in all guests rooms, the lobby, and some of the restaurants. After an a la carte dinner at the Lemongrass, a asian restaurant, we were invited to the Margarita Bar where we were served specialty jamaican margaritas. We took our margaritas and headed to the Palms building, where there is nightly entertainment. We got to watch a fashion show, displaying the clothing sold at the 3 stores right at the resort. After the fashion show, there was a talent show where guests from the resort were invited up to show their stuff. We were then all picked up by a shuttle bus and taken to the biggest nightclub in Negril, THE JUNGLE. We had a few drinks and danced jamaican style for a few hours before heading back to the resort to catch some sleep. We woke up this morning, had a leisurely breakfast at the buffet in the Palms. We then were given a guided tour of the resort by the sales manager. We then went to the main pool where they have activites. We made palm branch hats, watched a basket weaving demonstartion, and a cooking demonstartion. We then had lunch at the buffet. After lunch we boarded the mini tour bus and did a site inspection at the Samsara resort and the Beaches Negril. Beaches Negril is gorgeous and has soooo much for a family to do. Highly recommend for anyone. We then had a pit stop at Rick's Cafe, very famous for its location and cliff diving. Rick's cafe is located on the cliff side of Negril, also known as the west side.Tonight we are having a beach party hosted by Couples Swept Away, and then are going to the resort's nightclub, The Aura.Checking out of the Couples Swept Away in the morning and heading to Montego Bay, where we check into the Rose Hall Resort. Hopefull they will have WiFi so I can send another update.See you guys next Tuesdaynote...itinerary has changed and tomorrow we are doing a site inspection of Hedo 2. I'll take lots of pics for you Paula!!!Having a great time in Jamaica,Holly
